Josh Allen Reaches Career-High No. 2 Ranking on NFL Top 100

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has climbed to the No. 2 spot on the NFL Top 100 Players of 2026 list, marking the highest ranking of his career. Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen was named No. 2 on the coveted list, marking a one-spot increase from last year when he was voted No. 3 by his peers.

The annual list, which is voted on by NFL players themselves, was revealed this week. Los Angeles Rams superstar Myles Garrett claimed the No. 1 overall spot , edging out Allen for the top honor. Allen was the highest-ranked quarterback on this year's list.

A Historic Season for No. 17

Allen's rise comes on the heels of another standout campaign in 2025. Allen, 30, is coming off another tremendous season in which he racked up 3,668 yards, 25 touchdowns and 10 interceptions while rushing for 579 yards and 14 touchdowns. His rushing production stood out league-wide, as Allen put up 579 yards rushing on 112 attempts, the most among quarterbacks in 2026, also putting up 14 touchdowns, good for third most in the league among all skill positions.

Allen also continued to refine his accuracy. Continuing to sharpen the skills with his arm, Allen was a staple of accuracy in 2026, posting his best bad throw percentage (13% down from 18.7% in 2024) along with the highest on target throw percentage (79.9) of his career. He also set a career-high in completion percentage at 69.3%, becoming the youngest player in NFL history to reach 300 total touchdowns.

Beyond the counting stats, Allen etched his name further into the record books, having become the youngest and fastest player to eclipse 300 regular season touchdowns, surpassed Peyton Manning for the most total touchdowns by a player 30 years or younger, and became the first NFL player with multiple games registering three passing touchdowns and three rushing touchdowns.

Bills' Season and Additional Recognition

Buffalo's 2025 campaign ended in disappointment despite Allen's individual brilliance. The Bills finished the season 12-5, losing in the divisional round to the Denver Broncos in overtime. Allen's performance still earned significant league-wide recognition, as he finished third in the player voting a year ago after his MVP campaign the prior season, and finished third place in MVP voting in 2025.

This marks a continued trend of excellence for the Bills signal-caller. This marks the seventh year in a row that Allen has cracked the top 100, along with his fourth time in the top 10.

Allen was not the only Bills representative on this year's list. Three different Buffalo Bills made this year's list, with running back James Cook earning the No. 20 spot and left tackle Dion Dawkins checking in at No. 57.

James Cook shot up the rankings in 2026 to 20th overall after another career-year in Buffalo, finishing the season as the league's leading rusher with 1,621 yards on 309 carries, and finished with 12 touchdowns on the ground.
